Join us for a fun and informative presentation by Patrick Marold, on light and its relationship to large-scale art installations. Patrick will discuss the Shadow Array project at DIA, and how he and his team developed the lighting system and its relationship to the sculpture. He will also discuss his Windmill Project and other installations/ explorations that utilize lighting to enhance the viewers experience.

Patrick Marold, Colorado resident and local artist, has been working with spatial dynamics and our environmental orientation for more than 20 years, and is most widely known for his large-scale works commissioned locally and internationally. He will be discussing his use of integrated lighting systems to enhance the viewers experience of his public art projects and sculptural installations.
